This is the 2nd interdisciplinary workshop, “Renkei Salon” in Japanese, organized by the laboratory of inverse problems. The purpose is to bring together interesting current problems, breaking borders of research fields, and enjoying their basic idea, target and fascination.
Feb.10 (Tuesday) at room D509 at Institute of Natural Science (Area 1)
15:15-15-45 Masataka Ohkubo (AIST)
Motivation for developing advanced measurement and analysis instruments - Effects of measurement on action and new data acquired by using superconductivity –
16:00-16:30 Akiji Yamamoto (NIMS)
Icosahedral close packing and cluster model of quasicrystals
16:45-17:15 Shigeki Akiyama (Univ. Tsukuba)
Fourier expansion of non-periodic structure: quasicrystals and almost periodicity
Two or three speakers give presentations in an elementary way to help our mutual understanding. On the occasion of coffee breaks (14:45-15:15, 17:15-18:00) we are expecting encounters to different fields of research. Even if the subjects are remote from you, please feel free and join us. Lectures may bring you some hints for your own study.
